The John Bray Lecture Theatre
Martlesham Heath, Ipswich, IP5 3RE, UK.
Security continues to be a big concern for businesses and individual alike whether it be theft of personal data, loss of reputation, loss of business or event complete shut-down of operations. No industry is immune, but the telecoms industry bears a particular responsibility, not only because networks themselves are targets, but also because so many attacks make use of our networks, systems and servers to target third party businesses.
Alongside speakers from BT and Nokia, Spirent’s Alan Way will be presenting the latest perspectives on how to ensure networks and data can be better protected. Given the current focus of the industry, Alan will be focusing on how to address the security of 5G and IoT.
From an overview of how rapidly IoT devices are being deployed, Alan will discuss the need for good network security, the top security breaches of 2018 and an example of a major IoT Botnet that generated hundreds of Gbps of DDOS traffic, reportedly peaking at 1Tbps.
The event will also include demonstrations of the latest in network security, including Spirent’s CyberFlood solution.
Spirent has a limited number of tickets available, so if you would like to apply for a free ticket to attend, please contact us.
