Overcoming 5G Standalone Delays to Deliver New Revenue
As new standalone cores roll out, 5G is fully embracing the cloud. Early movers have many lessons learned, but one critical takeaway is that the cloud breaks 5G testing as we know it. Traditional manual validation testing simply can't keep up with the constant stream of releases of cloud-native functions and compute and connectivity infrastructure across an expanded set of 5G vendors. Join our team of experts, Heavy Reading Principal Analyst, Ruth Brown, Spirent Head of Strategy, Steve Douglas, and Spirent VP of Global Business Solutions, Chris O'Loughlin, as they explain why 5G is disrupting traditional testing and share how 5G leaders are adopting automation and "as a service" models to reinvent testing for the 5G cloud.
Spirent Managed Solutions – SecurityLabs Overview
SecurityLabs expert security consultants act as an extension of your in-house security team proactively identifying vulnerabilities and assist with mitigating risk. They support in-house testing and offer seasoned expertise for third-party security testing, analysis, and compliance. This includes a complete range of security services with in-house vulnerability scanning.
The Criticality of Continuous Test for CI/CD Success
The benefits of CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) through DevOps adoption have been increasingly sought in today’s fast evolving technology landscape for the agility it offers development and the stability it provides to operations through the automation of the technology lifecycle. A growing number of leaders view CI/CD as the solution to help maintain their competitive edge. Too often overlooked in the big picture, however, is the importance of continuous testing (CT) to make all that possible. The compelling business benefits that flow from getting it right are significant: heightened productivity, accelerated speed to market, improved quality and substantial cost savings. The fundamental significance of effective CT and methods of fostering its success in an organization’s overall CI/CD strategy is the focus of this white paper.
Spirent Managed Solutions - Lab Power Conservation Solution
Spirent’s Lab Power Conservation Solution is a subset of the Lab as a Service (LaaS) solution. The solution abstracts physical, virtual and hybrid lab resources (that may be geographically dispersed) with systems and processes to provide a “Virtual Lab” for each test team. Diverse global test teams from different organizations possess a comprehensive platform to automate testing that is fully compatible with in-house or third-party automation tools. With these capabilities in place, the following Lab Power Conservation and cost control capabilities include: - Lab consolidation reducing physical footprint, energy use and carbon emissions - Equipment utility reduction through shared equipment and automated test scheduling - Automated power down of unused gear for optimal power consumption management - Accurate equipment utilization reporting for data-driven equipment investments and planning
Lab as a Service Overview
Spirent’s Lab as a Service (LaaS) solution abstracts physical, virtual and hybrid lab resources (that may be geographically dispersed) with systems and processes to provide a “Virtual Lab” for each test team. Through their LaaS interface, each test team reserves lab resources, builds templates to define required test topologies and triggers the fully automated build of any test topology. Local and remote teams have their own lab in a designated timeslot which can be rapidly reconfigured at will.
Test as a Service for 5G – Portfolio Overview
Spirent pioneered a unique approach to comprehensive testing for increasingly complex and virtualized, next-gen 5G environments with its Test as a Service (TaaS) solution. Spirent first examines current lab procedures and systems, works with the customer to augment them to ensure it is a solid platform for an automated test solution. Then, in an iterative fashion, Spirent develops and executes automated test suites, reviews results with the customer, and drives issues to resolution with CSP vendors until the technology is ready for live deployment.
