A multi-radio signal generator for rapid connectivity and function testing during manufacturing and integration.

As more devices incorporate radio technologies for navigation, positioning and communication, Spirent has developed a convenient all-in-one multi-radio signal generator to allow these capabilities to be tested rapidly, accurately and controllably during integration and production.

The GSS5300 can generate four types of radio signal, either separately or simultaneously:

  • 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • Near-field communications (NFC)
  • FM

First unit designed specifically for integration and manufacturing

GSS5300Designed for production and integration environments, the GSS5300 is the first unit of its kind to generate multiple radio signals to test connectivity and functional operation. The ability to generate simultaneous Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and FM signals can significantly accelerate testing times while improving the precision and accuracy of the test result.

Fast, accurate, low-cost testing of multi-radio devices

The GSS5300 enables fast, accurate, repeatable testing without the cost or complexity of a high-end, parametric test unit designed for R&D use. It eliminates the time and accuracy issues associated with using ‘live’ signals from a Wi-Fi router, FM radio transmitter or NFC terminal, and speeds testing times by enabling multiple signals and devices to be tested simultaneously.

Controllable, repeatable testing

With the GSS5300 you can specify, run, repeat and modify test parameters, including power levels, channel assignments, frequencies and wireless standards. The unit can be controlled directly using its own easy-to-use graphical interface (Spirent’s SimCHAN software), or remotely via command script.

Integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, FM and GNSS testing

For devices that also incorporate satellite positioning and navigation capabilities, the GSS5300 is designed to work in tandem with Spirent’s popular GSS6300 range of multi-GNSS simulators. The ability to operate both units from the same interface means you can test more devices faster, with more reliable results.

Worldwide support services

Spirent’s expert, worldwide services organisation can help with every aspect of your GSS5300 implementation, including integration with other equipment in your test environment.

    Benefits
