Spirent Advances SDN/OpenFlow with Industry’s First Open Source Conformance Test Suite

Spirent Communications, the leader in network, services and devices testing, today announced that it has joined forces with Indiana University’s Software Defined Networking (SDN)/OpenFlow research organization, InCNTRE to develop the conformance test suites within OFTest, an open source based test solution for OpenFlow networks. This joint effort, coupled with Spirent TestCenter OpenFlow performance testing solution, helps drive the cost-effective adoption and acceleration of SDN and OpenFlow.

Spirent puts SCinet to the Test

Spirent Communications, a leader in network, services and devices testing, today announced that SCinet, a powerful network that provided nearly 800 Gigabits per second (Gbps) of capacity for the SC12 conference, used Spirent’s high-speed Ethernet solutions to test the performance of its wide area network infrastructure.
