Automated Activation & Change Testing with SLA Monitoring
Testing conducted to assure services must be part of how the service is designed from the start. Dynamic network slice orchestration drives the need for automated activation and change testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting. To ensure the new slice will work after it is instantiated, Spirent’s 5G slice assurance solution deploys virtualized test functions (called Virtual Test Agents, or VTAs) to various nodes of the 5G slice. These VTAs emulate users, or other parts of the network, and perform tests on distributed network functions to ensure they will deliver the low latency or other critical performance needs of the end user.
Once the service is up and running, the entire network slice can be monitored to ensure SLAs and end-to-end performance requirements are continuously met.
