Spirent Wins 2018 Leading Lights Award for Outstanding Test and Measurement Vendor

CRAWLEY, UK, 17 May, 2018 - Spirent Communications plc (LSE:SPT) has been selected by Light Reading as the winner of the 2018 Leading Lights Award for Outstanding Test and Measurement Vendor. Light Reading announced the award winners at this week’s Leading Lights Awards ceremony in Austin, TX.

In its awards announcement, Light Reading explained why Spirent was selected as the 2018 Outstanding Test and Measurement Vendor: “Spirent wins the award for the development of its Lifecycle Service Assurance strategy that aims to bring greater automation to network operators, its improved financials and its rising share price.”

David Stehlin, general manager of Spirent’s Lifecycle Service Assurance segment, received the award on Spirent’s behalf and remarked: “We’re honored to be recognized by Light Reading for this year’s Outstanding Test and Measurement Vendor award. This comes at an exciting time as 5G, NFV and network automation profoundly change our industry. Service and network equipment providers have promised their customers this change will radically improve flexibility and performance. This award highlights Spirent’s role in assuring that promise is kept.”

Light Reading described the judging criteria: “The winners were chosen following the judging of hundreds of submissions in 24 categories, which this year included recognition for those companies making progress in automation, SD-WAN and edge computing as well as NFV, 5G, security and all of the traditional Leading Lights categories.”
