octoScope to Host “Standards Update and Test Methods for Wi-Fi 6” Seminar

The seminar will be presented by octoScope’s CTO, Leigh Chinitz, Ph.D. Leigh has worked in the wireless and data communications field since 1993 with companies including Casa Systems, Cisco and Motorola. His background includes Wi-Fi, UMTS, CDMA, femtocell, small cells and regulatory work with the FCC. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and a contributor to the Wi-Fi Alliance, IEEE, TIA, and ITU standards development. Leigh has a BS in Physics from Yale, a Ph.D. and an MBA. He holds 20 US patents.
The “Standards Update and Test Methods for Wi-Fi 6” seminar will discuss how the success of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) products will depend on how well they perform and coexist in the presence of real-word challenges. New test methodologies are emerging from the industry standards organizations and laboratories, including the Wi-Fi Alliance, Broadband Forum, Cable Labs, SmallNetBuilder.com and others.
octoScope will provide an overview of the latest standards, technologies and test methods for Wi-Fi 6 as well as live demonstrations of these tests in the company’s octoBox testbed.
