Spirent Receives Best of Interop Tokyo Award for 400G Ethernet Test System
Sunnyvale, Calif. – June 11, 2015 — Spirent Communications’ 400G Ethernet Test System received the 2015 Best of Interop Grand Prize at Interop Tokyo. At the show, Spirent and Huawei, with support from Toyo Corporation conducted the industry’s first public interoperability demonstration of a 400Gb Ethernet implementation.
Testing is the fundamental building block to delivering reliable, high-performing systems and starts with validating the link’s ability to pass up to line rate traffic as well as testing the functionality, performance, scalability and QoE of the upper-layer engines that deliver services. Spirent’s 400G system is a complete testing solution for early design and development of 400G Ethernet systems. With a one-slot blade form factor, the solution is compatible with Spirent’s existing chassis and its other Ethernet products.
“With the industry’s only market ready solution for 400G Ethernet testing, Spirent is driving the testing and validation of early concept high-speed network elements,” said Abhitesh Kastuar, general manager, Cloud & IP, Spirent Communications. “This award recognizes Spirent’s unsurpassed capabilities and mission to prepare the networking industry to meet the expanding demands for high-speed network links.”
Each year, Best of Interop Tokyo award winners prove to be the key players in the continuing evolution of business technology. Spirent’s 400GbE Test System was judged by a panel of leading industry analysts and experts.
