Industry’s First Public Demonstration of 400G Ethernet Interoperability Showcased at Interop Tokyo
Tokyo – June 10, 2015— Spirent Communications, today announced industry’s first public demonstration of 400G Ethernet Test System interoperating with a Huawei’s NE5000E core router at Interop Tokyo, Japan, June 10-12. This is the first time any company has shown two separate 400Gb Ethernet implementations interoperating live in a public forum. This demonstration was conducted in with support from Toyo Corporation, Spirent’s exclusive partner in Japan.
Highlights of this Demonstration
In this demonstration, the Spirent 400GbE solution will generate and pass line rate traffic to Huawei’s NE5000E core router port. The NE5000E port will direct this traffic to a second NE5000E port which will then forward it to a second Spirent 400GbE port. This test will run bi-directionally and continuously on the show floor. The live demonstration will be featured at Huawei’s booth #6N21. The demonstration shows that Huawei router and Spirent 400G test system are ready to support for 400GbE. In addition, this demonstration showcases the stability and readiness of this technology and will be a driver in the industry’s move toward for the standardization of 400GbE.
Spirent’s 400G system is a complete testing solution for early design and development of 400G Ethernet systems. With a one-slot blade form factor, the solution is compatible with Spirent’s existing chassis and its other Ethernet products.
