Network virtualization, 5G, Internet of Things and proactive network testing will be the main themes of Spirent’s presence at MWC 2017, and we will be showcasing our latest solutions to help service providers and equipment manufacturers provide better technology to end users. Why not book a meeting with us in advance?

Neil HolmquistNetwork function virtualization (NFV) is a hot topic this year, and Spirent’s Neil Holmquist is speaking at the conference on Tuesday 28 Feb at 3.30pm on this topic.

Spirent experts will also be available on our booth to discuss how to implement SDN/NFV, assure hybrid networks and continuously introduce and certify NFV infrastructure and services while proactively verifying performance and quality end-to-end across the operational networks.

For critical radio access technology, 5G means moving into a whole new spread of spectrum, along with the New Radio (NR) air interface, up to 128 antennas, more spectrum bandwidth, and wavelengths that do not travel quite as far and are weaker in non-line-of-sight conditions.

Spirent will be showcasing advances in radio frequency channel emulation and helping to unravel the mysteries of the complex new technologies. We’ll be talking about the important role that testing plays in 5G evolution; a critical path to 5G that is already in motion.

Designing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions can present a myriad of new challenges, especially when cellular connectivity enters the picture. Spirent will be showcasing how to deal with areas such as connectivity, security, service assurance and battery design that are affected when designing 3G, LTE and the upcoming LTE Cat M1 and Cat NB1 technologies into IoT devices.

To deliver more complex, better quality services, providers need tools that offer proactive network testing to spot issues, identify root causes, resolve and validate the fix automatically – before customers are impacted.

Spirent will be demonstrating the recently launched VisionWorks suite, which offers proactive operational network troubleshooting through to actionable intelligence – down to interface and protocol levels.

Mission-critical communication systems that use LTE are being developed, and Spirent is at the forefront, working with leading systems developers in US, Asia and Europe. Visit our booth in Hall 5 Booth 5C61 to learn more about how to implement these new services.

As usual, Spirent’s main booth will be at Hall 6 J 37, and will be serving the best coffee at MWC. See you there!

Our Israel team is also demonstrating its software for developers of VoLTE, IMS and other systems at Hall 5 C 61.
