Autonomous Ship Technology Symposium 2016

Autonomous Ship Technology Symposium 2016

AI Amsterdam
1078 GZ Amsterdam

The Autonomous Ship Technology Symposium will bring together ship designers, fleet owners, naval architects, classification societies, equipment manufacturers and maritime research organisations to discuss and debate the technological, regulatory and legal developments necessary to make autonomous and unmanned ships a reality

Spirent's Guy Buesnel will be speaking at the event in a 'must-attend' session on Wednesday 22 June. He is speaking at 11.10am on the topic 'Securing position, navigation and timing systems for autonomous shipping'. An important consideration for the industry is the need for precise position and timing in autonomous systems. Another critical area that needs to be addressed is potential threats to GPS, and these issues will be discussed by Guy.
