The GPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation or GPS and Geo Augmented Navigation system (GAGAN) is a space-based augmentation system (SBAS) funded by the Indian government. Interestingly, Gagan is not just an acronym: it is also a Sanskrit word for the sky.
