Title: Business Development Manager, EMEA

As Business Development Manager for Spirent in EMEA, Ralph is responsible for the commercial and technical development of Spirent’s Automation business. Ralph is focused on developing Automation solutions with Network Equipment Manufacturers, Service Providers, Carriers, Government, Aerospace, Military, Banking/Finance, Telecoms and other Enterprise industries.

Ralph joined Spirent in February 2011 following the acquisition of Silicon-Valley software start up Fanfare, where Ralph was solely responsible for the territory development and technical pre-sales direction for EMEA.

With a grounding in software engineering and a BSc in Real Time Systems from the University of the West Of England, Ralph has worked at most technical levels of the telecoms network software lifecycle, from requirements engineering thru to live network deployment. Ralph has a broad expertise in technical telecoms networking principles and a practical knowledge of software engineering and technical project management principles.

Ralph has an active interest in music, film and the arts. As a musician and songwriter, Ralph has played in many bands, worked with music producers in recording studios and released albums and singles. Ralph also enjoys mountain-biking, digital photography and spending time with his family.
