Assistance for GAC in Ethernet ECU Verification and Assurance for In-vehicle Applications
Challenges
With the maturity of intelligence, connectivity and digitizing in automobile industry, in-vehicle applications are placing ever increasing demands on bandwidth and requirements for low latency and clock sync accuracy. BroadR-Reach based in-vehicle Ethernet with AVB/TSN protocols provide automobiles with better features like broad bandwidth, high reliability, low latency and highly accurate clock synchronization.
However, as in-vehicle Ethernet introduces completely new network architectures and transmission protocols, it is a pain point at present as how to test them effectively. These tests include standardized protocol conformance testing for ECU components to ensure interoperability, and functionality/ performance verification for onboard switching devices to ensure the overall performance of the networks. It has become an urgent need for automobile manufacturers to implement integrated automatic testing of these contents.
