Today’s computing environments are complex—at any given time, there can be hundreds of thousands of applications, with multiple versions and variations, based on the client device type (e.g., Android, iPad and PC) and geographic regions (e.g., Skype in Asia versus Europe) on the live network.
Spirent Studio TestCloud is a cloud-based store of test content that enables you to keep pace with the exploding number of applications, devices and attacks on your network. It helps you save significant time by using these ready-to-run tests directly within Spirent Studio Performance or Studio Security.
With Studio TestCloud, you can:
- Ensure the performance and scalability of your network infrastructure by accurately recreating realistic app mixes
- Validate the security of your network infrastructure by thoroughly testing with the latest known security attacks
Studio TestCloud provides thousands of ready-to-run tests for a wide range of popular applications including peer-to-peer (P2P), Business, Instant messaging (IM), and Social Media. Examples of apps include BitTorrent, AOL IM, Jabber, Facebook, Twitter, Skype and many more. It also has thousands of known security attack templates that can be used for testing.
Spirent Studio TestCloud is a core component of Spirent Studio Performance or Studio Security that enables the user to stay on top of this application explosion and easily recreate millions of sessions of real application traffic in the lab. Now the user can quickly test the application performance, detection and control capabilities of systems such as Firewalls, UTM, and DPI engines.
Spirent's Studio Performance Suite is the industry’s first performance testing solution designed for testing application-aware networks. The three main components of the suite are:

Studio TestCloud
An application test store that provides thousands of ready-to-run test scenarios for a wide range of popular business and consumer applications.
Test Management Server
An application that enables the user to manage tests and results, as well as run multi-track application performance tests.
Scale Appliances
A hardware system that generates application traffic for performance testing. Multiple appliances can be stacked together in a single test and controlled from one UI to increase the load on the target.
