The SmartSight Central OSS provides the technician a powerful browser based user interface containing a graphical depiction of the service to be tested. Through an intuitive point and click GUI, users can initiate test accesses at various points on the service allowing for rapid identification of problem areas. Additionally the SmartSight solution makes use of the statistical data available in the Network Element (NE) to provide a comprehensive view of the service as it traverses the network. All testing available through the SmartSight Central Web interface can also be initiated over an XML interface by a service provider’s back office work management systems. This integration enables flow through automated testing to address the service provider’s rising volumes.
