Multi-channel testing in a military production test simulator.

Spirent, the world's leading provider of GNSS test and simulation systems, has developed the GSS7735 production test GPS L1/L2 constellation simulator as part of Spirent's ever-growing range of constellation simulators.

Designed specifically for testing dual-frequency GPS equipment and sensors in manufacturing environments or in the field, the four channel GSS7735 provides a complete simulated RF environment for production testing GPS receivers and/or sensors. GSS7735 is able to create a 3-dimensional position solution, meaning that users can test not only sensitivity but also parameters such as time-to-fix and positioning accuracy.

The GSS7735 may be operated remotely via Spirent's SimREMOTE capability allowing control over scenario selection, start, stop and signal power levels via Ethernet. Remote operation over IEEE-488 is also available.

Designed to operate without a separate controller PC, the GSS7735 is completely self contained, simulating the four satellites concurrently. This enables optimal set up for rapid repeat testing as is required during manufacturing or systems readiness field checks.

The GSS7735 with its highly accurate, stable generator capable of exceptional fidelity and resolution is the leading solution to multi-channel testing of dual frequency GPS equipment and sensors.

    Benefits

Spirent’s GSS7735 provides many user focused benefits, making it the ideal productions test simulator for dual frequency GPS equipment and sensors.

    GSS7735 Benefits

Optimal set up for rapid repeat testing

    • The GSS7735 is a completely self-contained unit requiring no external controller for operation of all its functions
    • The user interface is via the touch sensitive screen, keyboard and mouse or via remote commands

    Flexibility and Ease of Use

    • The GSS7735 may be operated remotely via Spirent's SimREMOTE capability allowing control over scenario selection, start, stop and signal power levels via Ethernet TCP/IP or IEEE-488

    Features

Spirent’s GSS7735 has a wide range of features making it a comprehensive yet user friendly option:

    GSS7735 Features

    • 4 channel simulation at GPS L1 and L2 (GPS L1 supports C/A and P code. GPS L2 supports P code)
    • Embedded controller
    • User-defined variables (Date/time, Position (fixed), Duration, Satellite power levels)
    • Nominal and high (+50dB) RF power levels
    • Customer utility provided for annual calibration
