The data testing configuration of Spirent’s C2K-ATS automated mobile device test system ensures that data-capable mobile devices perform well without putting undue strain on network resources. Its functionality is driven both by industry standards (TIA-918/C.S0037) and by network operators whose foresight helped define the de facto standard for wireless data testing.

In this configuration, the C2K-ATS implements control over a data client that automates control of the DUT. The system stress-tests and quantifies data throughput using a variety of protocols. The system also implements Data Retry testing… a “safe-for-network” verification so a rogue handset design doesn’t flood the network with inappropriate requests for data resources.

Spirent’s exclusive Universal Diagnostic Monitor (UDM) provides automation of the DUT so testing is as simple as selecting a suite of tests and clicking the “Run” button. As always, the completely scalable C2K-ATS can be scaled from any configuration to any other, so a single system can address all your RF, signalling, LBS and data testing needs.
