MoCA—Multimedia over Coax Alliance standard—is an in-home distribution technology which leverages existing coax cable networks prevalent in over 90% of US homes. Service Providers have experienced huge take-rates in delivering advanced IP services—opening new channels of revenue. MoCA is key - as it provides a relatively low-cost method of getting IP Video services (e.g., IPTV, VoD and DVR sharing) to the various TVs within the home without new cable installation at service turn up.
