Spirent, the world leader in GNSS and simulation systems, has developed a range of simulation systems for effectively testing location based services such as logistics or tracking applications.

Although the early vision for location based services, for example vouchers to the smart phone or car when passing a fast-food outlet, has not widely materialised, various services are available commercially today and are set to increase significantly going forwards.

Spirent supports technology and application developers with test systems that enable lab-based testing of location based services. Spirent’s products can stimulate the GNSS and/or Wi-Fi receiver system in the lab in a wide variety of nominal and off-design situations, thereby ensuring resilient and fit-for-purpose solutions. For example, devices can be tested for operation in locations around the world and for resilience to multipath and interference effects using Spirent GNSS and Wi-Fi simulation systems.
