UNPRECEDENTED COMBINATION OF REALISM AND EASE-OF-USE

VR5 award nominationsThe VR5 HD Spatial Channel Emulator brings unprecedented ease of use to testing MIMO/beamforming devices and base-stations. 8x4 MIMO, TD-LTE, LTE-Advanced, and bi-directional or handover testing are just a few of the challenges that are easily handled with this bench-top unit. The VR5 changes the game with unparalleled integration and performance, while new hardware introduces order-of-magnitude improvements in bandwidth, output power and dynamic range.

DOZENS OF LINKS IN A 6U UNIT

Designed to address the increasing complexity of modern and forward-looking MIMO technologies, the system packs dozens of emulated radio links into a single 6U unit. Now complicated bi-directional MIMO or handover testing can be set up in seconds, without racks, splitters, circulators or outboard amplifiers.

SIMPLIFIES THE MANAGEMENT OF COMPLEX MIMO SCENARIOS

An integrated touchscreen provides control and feedback. The interface is based on a new design philosophy specifically developed to simplify the management of complex MIMO scenarios. Step-by-step graphical guidance and feedback streamlines configuration and prevents errors from creeping in. Now even the newest user can quickly set up and run the complex RF environments needed to test mobiles and base-stations used in LTE, LTE-Advanced and beyond.

REPLICATES REAL-WORLD CONDITIONS

NGN Leadership AwardThe VR5 is the heart of Spirent’s MIMO/Beamforming Test System, which includes automated phase calibration for phase-sensitive 8xn and 802.11ac receivers. The VR5 is also ready with the industry’s most effective approaches to replicating real-world conditions: MIMO Over-the-Air (MIMO-OTA), Spirent’s Virtual Drive Test Conversion Tool and the industry-leading Dynamic Environment Emulation (DEE) are ready to provide customized mobility scenarios.
