Spirent offers the industry’s first holistic cloud computing testing methodology to validate the performance, availability, security and scalability (PASS) of cloud infrastructure and services. The Spirent PASS methodology includes both physical and virtual appliances specifically designed to test services and infrastructure between any points in the cloud environment.
This cloud computing testing methodology validates the Quality of Service (QoS) of cloud infrastructures as well as the Quality of Experience (QoE) across cloud services. The methodology enables test engineers to test every aspect of the cloud infrastructure including:
- Ethernet Fabric by validating QoS of high density 10/40/100Gb Ethernet top of rack, end of row and WAN optimization switches
- Storage Networks by ensuring QoS of Fibre Channel and Fiber Channel over Ethernet storage networking devices and storage systems
- Application Networking by testing QoS of Firewalls, IPS, WAN accelerators, Proxy Servers, SSL VPNs, etc
- Cloud Virtualization by benchmarking QoS of virtual switching and virtual appliances from blade servers to any point in the Ethernet and Storage fabric
The cloud computing testing methodology also helps validates QoE of cloud services such as Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
