In partnering with standard bodies, independent test labs, and industry forums, Spirent contributes to the advancement of new technology and test methodologies. Spirent solutions have continued to be the first choice of customers when considering a public test of their products.

03/12: A Whole Lot of Ports: Juniper Networks QFabric System Assessment
Juniper Networks commissioned Network Test to assess the performance, interoperability, and usability of its QFabric System, a converged switch fabric for cloud and large data center applications tested with 1,536 10-Gbit/s Ethernet ports. Even at this unprecedented scale—by far the largest ever in a public switch test—this project loaded the QFabric System to only one-quarter of its maximum capacity of 6,144 10-Gbit/s Ethernet ports.
03/12: Arista 10G Switch: Fast and Flexible
Packing 384 10G Ethernet ports into an 11-rack-unit form factor is only the beginning for Arista Networks' DCS-7508 data center core switch. In this exclusive Clear Choice test, the 7508's performance set one high-water mark after another. It switched 5.7 billion frames per second, the highest throughput ever seen in a Network World test. It moved multicast traffic to more than 4,000 groups on all ports, another record for a modular switch. And it ran at wire speed in almost every case except when we deliberately congested the switch, and there it buffered up to 83MB per port.
02/12: Juniper Networks MobileNext Broadband Gateway
EANTC was commissioned by Juniper Networks to validate the performance, scalability, and flexibility of the MobileNext Broadband Gateway (MBG)—an implementation of the 3GPP Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN) and Packet Data Network Gateway (P-GW).
01/12: Crossbeam Passed Real-World Firewall Performance Test
EANTC tested Crossbeam’s X80-S firewall solution in a test environment emulating a next generation mobile network. Using Spirent Avalanche, more than one Million active mobile subscribers were emulated generating more than 107 Gbit/s of data throughput. The test demonstrates the Crossbeam Firewall under real-world conditions.
