Daniel Lane*, Product Manager, Ft. Worth, TX

As a Product Manager, Daniel’s role is to translate customer requirements and market directions into a manageable implementation plan for product development. Daniel is the face of Spirent. He travels with the sales team throughout North America and Asia representing his product line to customers. Daniel describes some of his challenges, “It’s tough to balance requested features against product roadmap priorities. The dynamics of each product and each request are unique, constantly keeping you on your toes.”

Daniel has been with Spirent over five years. His background was with very large corporations. He came to Spirent looking for a dynamic environment in a growing company. Daniel describes the difference, “At Spirent the management staff sincerely cares about both the employees and the business. I am an individual rather than a number. And we all take personal pride in Spirent’s success.” Even as Spirent grows, it strives to maintain the connection to its employees through team building and open communication.

When he’s not traveling the globe Daniel spends his time at Eagle Mountain Lake for a day of boating or hiking. Work and recreation combined often leave him with a healthy appetite. If you’re ever in Ft. Worth, Daniel recommends a slice of Prime Rib at Lawry’s.
